EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION Receives CTA State Gold Award!
The Tahoe Truckee Education Association nominated our local Excellence in Education organization for a prestigious award given out each year by the California Teachers Association.
The State Gold Award – The CTA State Gold Award(s) may be bestowed upon any person(s) or organization(s) whose leadership, acts, and support have proven that person(s) or organization(s) to be (a) true friend(s) of public education, educators, or students and deserves statewide recognition.
Co-Presidents Jon Halvorsen and Ed Hilton traveled down to Sacramento with Laura Brown, the Executive Director for Excellence in Education, to receive the award and introduce Laura and this terrific organization to teachers and union leaders from the Capital Service Center region.
