Parents
What can parents do?
- Be involved in your school! Talk to your student’s teachers. What are their struggles? What do they need in the classroom to be more effective teachers?
- Be involved in your school district! Attend board meetings (dates and agendas posted here). Ask questions. How is money being spent? How are decisions made? Are board members communicating with those working directly with students?
- Write letters to leaders in our school district! Contact the superintendent of schools, Steve Jennings. Email him and let him know your priorities and concerns.
- Contact our board members. Let them know your priorities and concerns. Contact the TTUSD Board of Trustees.
- Write an editorial! Let the Sierra Sun or Reno Gazette Journal know what is happening in our local schools and how our elected leaders run the school district. How are our students and teachers being treated?
